In-House Advanced Facilitation Strategies

Background

Until a few years ago facilitation was a poorly understood and vastly under-utilized skill set known mainly to consultants and Human Resource specialists. In the last few years, more people have come to recognize just how important facilitation is to group effectiveness. These same people have also come to appreciate the challenges of facilitating well.

This two-day advanced skills workshop aims to provide experienced facilitators with additional process design skills and equip them with the techniques required to deal more confidently with challenging situations.

Content focused through needs assessment	Anyone who leads group discussions: team leaders, managers, project managers, OD and HR professionals
Limited class size with numerous opportunities to practice in small groups	Facilitators should have over one year’s experience designing and facilitating complex meetings
Structured feedback, safe environment to try out new skills	External consultants who want to lead more collaborative discussions
Case studies based on realistic situations	Previous training in facilitation skills is a prerequisite

Facilitation First has been approved as a provider of project management training by the Project Management Institute. This workshop earns PMP® certificants 14 PDUs.
