In-House Refresher Workshop
OverviewOur Facilitating with Ease workshop provides the ‘foundational’ elements for getting started as a facilitator, but getting better at facilitation demands constant vigilance in applying the skills on, at minimum, a weekly basis. Yet graduates from our core workshop don’t always have the chance to frequently facilitate or, all of the sudden, find that they have to facilitate but have forgotten some of the techniques they learned. As well, many past graduates have requested additional hands-on learning where they can continue to acquire straightforward feedback and go more in-depth with some of the basic skills.
This one-day workshop therefore aims at enhancing personal mastery of the basic facilitation skills in a safe and interactive learning environment.
By the End of this Workshop Participants Will:- Review key themes from our 2-day Facilitating with Ease workshop to ensure clarity and understanding
- Learn the power of icebreakers and energizers for mobilizing group trust and participation
- Gain insight into creative methods for stimulating brainstorming through ‘generative’ thinking
- Problem solve common meeting management dilemmas
- Experience techniques for maximizing group participation
- Test a tool for synthesizing large amounts of data into more digestible units
- Recognize and handle multiple types of group dysfunction
